POWERMAN 5000 To Take 'Extended Break From Touring'
November 10, 2007POWERMAN 5000 has issued the following update:
"Well, back from tour now and it was a rollercoaster of a run with some amasing moments!! Special thanks to all the folks in Lubbock, TX for making the last night such a blast...
"Looks like we will be taking an extended break from touring, other than a few shows here and there.
"It's hard to believe that we have basically been on the road since mid-2005 without much of a break! We figure it's time to go away and make you miss us!
"Work continues on new music but the promise of a record in 2007 seems impossible. Though we are cooking up some great stuff for the next release! A return to form, if you will. Weird, loud, electro, rock... we are on a mission to claim our rightful spot as the band that never fits in! HA. I think you all will be pleasantly surprised!!"
POWERMAN 5000 recently announced plans to release a live EP, although no further details were provided.
The band earlier in the year parted ways with guitarists Johnny Heatley and Terry Corso and replaced them with Evan Rodaniche and Dave Pino.
POWERMAN 5000's latest album, "Destroy What You Enjoy", was produced by Mudrock (AVENGED SEVENFOLD, GODSMACK),who also co-produced POWERMAN 5000's major label debut, "Mega!! Kung Fu Radio". The CD was recorded at the Hobby Shop in Eagle Rock, CA and was mixed by Dave Schiffman (AUDIOSLAVE, JOHNNY CASH, SYSTEM OF A DOWN).
